- Founder of Franklin Grove congregation, 1845,and largely the builder of the first meetinghouse in the district. Undoubtedly the organizer of Arnold's Grove in 1842. At his own expense attended Armual Meetings from 1852 to 1858 and was a member of Standing Committees
during those years. Preached at Naperville and other places. His son-in-law, Christian Lahman, was the ancestor of the Franklin Grove Lahmans.
